B-Seen SEO Analysis Tools

SEO Analysis Tools are a necessity when undertaking a
search engine optimization project. SEO free tools are even better!!
This page lists a collection of the free SEO tools we have found useful,
as well as a couple of non-free SEO analysis tools that we have
purchased and feel are well worth their cost.
First, a listing of the free SEO analysis and internet marketing tools
we have found useful:
- Alexa.com Alexa is an Amazon tool bar that you can use to monitor site
rankings and create useful charts. Site rankings are numerical. The
lower the number the better. Because Alexa collects page views from
users who have downloaded their tool, the results are biased toward
more technical users. It's still an excellent indication of the popularity of
a website.
- Google has a similar scheme in place to rank web pages. The Google
page rank is a number between 0 and 10. The higher the better. The
Google toolbar can be downloaded here.
- iwebtool offers free SEO analysis tools allow you to see the Google and
Alexa page rankings side-by-side. They also have a broken link
checker, cloaking, Google banned, index and keyword density
checkers.
- SEOMOZ has another useful set of free SEO analysis tools and
articles. The PageStrength tool is particularly helpful when
benchmarking a site prior to optimization.
- Free Keyword Discovery Tool An excellent and diverse keyword
discovery tool from SEOBook that has the additional benefit of being
free.
- Google Adwords Keyword Tool Google allows you to research
keywords using this tool. You can also enter your url and Google will
suggest keywords based on their interpretation of your content.
- Collection of 136 free SEO analysis tools including just about everything
you can imagine. It features tools of the month and tools of the year.
- Submit Helper This free SEO tool is very helpful for link building. It
gives you a list of directories and article submission sites and then
keeps track of the ones you submit to. It eliminates some of the
repetitive typing from the process.
- SEOChat Tools, Articles, Tutorials, a Forum. This is where I start first if
I'm looking for an answer to a specific question. That or the Matt Cutts
blog. Matt Cutts is a Google insider.
- Finally, there is Google Analytics. Once you've built your site, you'll want
to track who finds your site and the keywords they used to find it.
Google offers a free SEO analysis tool that allows you to do just that. It's
easy to use and easy to install. Check it out!
We use two SEO tools for which we pay a subscription. We use WordTracker
to find niche and popular keywords. We use WebPosition4 for page critiques,
for tracking and reporting changes in page rankings, and for link checking.
