Methodology page.
Objective and Scope:
The objective of the web design for seo (search engine optimization) phase is different from, and
should be considered an add-on or augmentation to, traditional web site design.

The purpose of SEO web design phase is to spell out, as clearly as possible and in detail, all of
the ranking considerations that have to be met by the project team
-- web site owner,
copywriter, architect, web designer, webmaster, SEO and link builder(s).

One specification in particular, the SEO specification, is different.  It lays out goals for the current
phase of the project as well as targets for the web site's targeted end-state.  As an example, we
may have agreed as a team that the scope of the current project will be to create X inbound links
to the site.  Our end-state SEO specification tell
s us how many links are needed to rank in the top
10,
whether we acquire then now or later.  This again, helps us and the web site owner, manage
cost and expectations.

The scope of the SEO web design phase is typically agreed to at the end of
analysis & research
and documented in an agreed-upon project plan as well as the Project Initiation Document.

Deliverables:
Deliverables include specifications (or instructions) for each of the above named project players
using our proprietary templates.

What's In It For You ?
Our design specifications complement our project plan.  The plan states who is responsible for
what, when.  Our specifications lay out "how" to do "what" successfully.  A single set of standard,
clear and brief instructions will be given to the client and retained as a tool for us to confirm when
changes have been successfully implemented.  Using our (or agreed-upon) tools and templates
reduces the chance of error, rework, and additional expense or delay to the project.

What Next?
Contact Us today so we can discuss your questions and concerns about this, or any other phase
of our
project methodology.  Every project is unique and therefore customized to satisfy the
unique needs, budget and constraints of every client.  Client involvement during this project
phase is moderate.  You will be expected to create content for each page that is targeted for
optimization, and to validate the development team has implemented it as written.
