SEO Opportunity Evaluation page.

Objective & Scope:
The objective of the Opportunity Evaluation Phase is to assess the feasibility of our being able to
grow your business.  When there is an existing website, we will determine whether it can satisfy
the requirements of SEO.  We will also discuss with the client the steps that need to be taken in
order to truly size up the effort involved in achieving a top 10 ranking.

The big questions we need answered during this initial SEO project phase are the following:

  • What is the client's objective?  How do they define success?
  • Can the client's existing website be used for optimization purposes?  (Some times there are
design flaws that prevent us from being able to satisfy client objectives.)
  • Do we collectively have the necessary skill sets and determination to complete the project?
  • What constraints do we have to work around, for example, budget and time constraints?

Deliverables:
We use a proprietary checklist to assess your existing web site.  We summarize findings and
share them with you along with recommendations as to next steps.  We create a high level
Project Initiation Document (PID) that speaks to the agreed upon next phase scope and
objectives as well as agreed upon staffing, budgetary and time constraints.  The PID forms the
contract for the next (research and analysis) phase of the project, and will be revised after roles,
responsibilities and the project scope, objectives and constraints become clear.  See Phase 2 -
Research and Analysis.

Customer Benefit:
By asking the right questions during this initial project phase:

  • We can often help clients clarify their immediate and long-term goals and objectives.
  • If you have an existing website, we will tell you whether it can be optimized.
  • If you are thinking about developing a website, we will tell you the broad categories of things
your design firm needs to pay attention to, and when they should engage a SEO.
  • The evaluation sometimes highlights low hanging fruit that can be taken advantage of
almost immediately so you can begin to see results earlier than expected.

At B-SeenOnTop, we believe a successful business relationship relies on shared
understandings and expectations.  This process and it's deliverables help make that happen.
