I have already tried to explain how search engines work.  Here I am providing a visual
representation of how Google works - how Google spiders, indexes, ranks and serves up search
engine results.  

First, a couple of things you MUST know.  You must have at least one incoming link to your
website in order to be found by Google, and that link cannot come from your own domain.  The
more incoming links that you have, the better your chances of being found within a reasonable
time frame by Google. The more reputable and authoritative the linking sites are, the better your
own site will rank.
